How do I get multiple rewards?

This is probably the most confusing part of Kickstarter because it’s not possible to do during checkout.

We will be using BackerKit at the end of this campaign for survey all backers, and to get any details that we need, like shipping address, t-shirt size, etc.

When you get that email from us AFTER the campaign ends, you will basically have a “credit” in the system and can alter your reward options then. This means you could get a lifetime of GMB+ and get a dice set if you wanted.

It’s important to note that we do have to hit our goals in Kickstarter to fund, so if you plan to get a subscription AND some of the merch, the best thing for you to do is to add the price of the tiers you want together, and back us at that amount when you checkout in Kickstarter.

As we get more clarification here, we’ll do our best to communicate quickly!

What if I supported you on Patreon?

This one is a bit tricky, but the short answer is, for every $3 that you supported us on Patreon, you are going to get a free month of GMB+ on top of any rewards you might choose here on Kickstarter.

For those who are interested in a lifetime subscription reward, I don’t have a great answer. Our gratitude is certainly there for all of the support you’ve given, but managing each person individually based on how much you’ve given on Patreon is tough.

That said, all GMB+ rewards, both here on Kickstarter and on Patreon, are going to be given via one-time use codes. This means that you can keep the lifetime code for yourself, but can give away the other to anyone that you want.

These will also stack.

We’re 100% open to ideas how we can better handle this. Shoot me a message if you have ideas.

How will I get my GMB+ Membership?

All GMB+ rewards will be given via a one-time use promo code. These are fully transferrable to anyone you want.

This means that if you want to back us here on Kickstarter, but maybe you aren’t an author, you can do so with a subscription reward, and can give your GMB+ subscription to your friend, or maybe even your DM.

Will there be a watermark on every page of my PDF files?

There was a bit of confusion by some on this feature and I think we’ve clarified it in the main content, but just to put a bow on it here.

There will NOT be any watermarks on the pages of your documents. In fact, there will be no watermarks at all in your documents.

What there will be is a single trailing page that gives credit to GM Binder and the platform we’ve built, at the end of your PDF files. This exists today as you can see in this document: https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-L-CmSAfF_HGNgEa6hsl

However, users who subscribe to GMB+ will have the option to remove this trailing page from their documents.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
